As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself pausing to look back on the incredible journey this year has been. This year was a remarkable blend of adventures that took me to new places, heartfelt moments of love that nurtured my spirit, valuable lessons that deepened my knowledge, and profound connections that shaped and enriched both my personal and professional journey in meaningful ways.

January: A Blissful Beginning in Pokhara
I began the year with a magical trip to Pokhara with my wife. We enjoyed the serenity of Phewa Lake while boating, experienced the thrill of paragliding over stunning landscapes, and explored the city’s beautiful and charming spots. This enchanting getaway filled our hearts with joy and set the perfect tone for the year ahead.
My wife and I created memories in Pokhara that we will cherish for a lifetime. It was a truly special time for us, filled with love and joy, marking one of the most beautiful moments in our personal lives.
On the professional front, January was equally exciting. I had the incredible opportunity to attend WordCamp Nepal 2024, an event that brought together passionate WordPress enthusiasts from across the globe.
Connecting with like-minded individuals, exchanging ideas, and being part of this vibrant community was nothing short of inspiring. It was a moment to learn, share, and feel a renewed sense of motivation for the journey ahead. January truly felt like a perfect blend of personal joy and professional fulfillment, paving the way for an extraordinary year.
February: A Month of Love and Celebration
February was truly special as we celebrated our first wedding anniversary. We marked the day by visiting the historic Bhaktapur Durbar Square, capturing beautiful memories together. Exchanging heartfelt gifts made the celebration even more meaningful, a perfect tribute to our love and partnership.
February wasn’t just a month of celebration; it was a reminder of the beauty of sharing life with someone so special.
March: Organizing WordCamp Asia 2024
March took me to Taipei, Taiwan, where I had the privilege of being one of the organizers for WordCamp Asia 2024. Working alongside Bijay Yadav, Prabin Jha, and Umesh Ghimire.
I spent three exciting days attending side events, networking, and learning. Representing Rank Math was a proud moment, and I enjoyed conducting interviews with fellow WordPressers, making the experience even more rewarding.
April: Wife Birthday and a Goodbye
April was a month of mixed emotions. We celebrated my wife’s birthday with a heartfelt and spiritual visit to Pashupatinath Temple, creating a moment of peace and gratitude. Soon after, she left for Australia to pursue her Master’s degree, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in her life. While her absence was deeply felt, My heart overflowed with great pride and limitless excitement for the incredible journey she was beginning.
May: Celebrating 21 Years of WordPress
May was a month of connection and celebration as we marked the 21st anniversary of WordPress at the historic Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Joined by over 50 WordPress enthusiasts, we shared stories, ideas, and our collective passion for this incredible platform. The camaraderie and sense of community made it a truly unforgettable event.
June: Exploring Europe for the First Time
June marked an unforgettable milestone in my travel journey as I visited Europe for the first time to attend WordCamp Europe 2024 in Italy. My adventure took me to the beautiful cities of Turin, Frankfurt, and Paris. Standing before the Eiffel Tower was a dream come true.
Even though the experience felt incomplete without my wife, as she shared the same dream to stand in front of the Eiffel Tower and embrace the wonder of Paris with me, I made a heartfelt promise to bring her along to her dream destination the next time we visit Europe together. It was a month filled with new experiences, learning, and unforgettable memories.
July: A Quiet Birthday
July, my birthday month, was a calm and reflective time. Instead of grand celebrations, I took the opportunity to appreciate the blessings, milestones, and growth I had experienced throughout the year. It was a simple yet meaningful way to mark the occasion.
August: Sharing Knowledge in Kathmandu
August was dedicated to giving back to the community. We organized a month-long WordPress training program at KCC College in Kathmandu, equipping students with valuable WordPress skills.
This rewarding initiative wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support from Shiva, Sunita, and everyone else who contributed. It was fulfilling to see the enthusiasm and growth of the students throughout the program. September was a month of festivals. It was a perfect time for family, friends and festivals.
October, November and December: WordPress, WordCamps and Wonders
Following the Dashain festival, I set off on an incredible adventure to Africa for WordCamp Nairobi. The trip was beyond amazing. The friendly people, delicious food, and incredible wildlife gave me memories to treasure forever. This year became particularly special as it introduced me to two new continents, Europe and Africa, each offering its own unique wonders.
Adding to the excitement, I also visited the UAE, where the remarkable blend of modernity and innovation left me in awe. These months were filled with exploration, learning, and experiences that will stay with me for a lifetime.
November was a busy and exciting month filled with WordPress events. I visited Goa for the first time. After that, I went to Kerala and spoke at WordCamp Kerala. After a week I flew to Malaysia, and then Delhi for WordCamp Malaysia and WordCamp Delhi respectively. The energy, learning, and connections from these events made it a truly inspiring month, fueling my love for WordPress even more.
2024 has been a year filled with growth, discovery, and unforgettable moments. From celebrating love and community to exploring new continents and embracing professional opportunities, every experience has enriched my journey.
I am deeply grateful for all the lessons, adventures, and connections this year has brought.
