I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially reviewed 7,000 WordPress themes, up from 6,000 in late 2024!
This achievement marks a monumental step in my journey since starting in 2015, and I couldn’t have done it without the continued support of the Rank Math family and the WordPress community.
Growth Fueled by Sponsorship
April 2021 was a turning point, Rank Math came on board as a sponsor, supporting over 3 million websites. Their support gave me the stability to commit to reviewing full-time. Since then, annual review volume surged to around 1,100–1,200 themes, aided by the introduction of faster block-based theme formats.
Here’s an annual breakdown:

Why It Matters
This milestone isn’t just a number — it’s about elevating theme quality in the official WordPress directory and improving user experiences globally. Through each review, I aim to help theme authors refine their work and contribute to a more robust ecosystem.
A Thank You to Theme Authors
To all theme creators: your openness to feedback and consistent submissions have made this journey possible. Your work inspires continuous improvement, especially in the evolving space of block-based themes.
Looking to the Future
The WordPress landscape is always evolving, and I’m committed to staying at the forefront. My goal now is clear:
- Champion mentorship to encourage more contributors.
- Foster collaboration within the WordPress community — there’s power in shared effort.
- Keep learning and improving, and help others join the movement.
If you’re curious about reviewing themes or contributing to WordPress in any way, consider this your call to action. The open-source world is wide open — and you might just surprise yourself with where it takes you!
