5 Years at Rank Math

Time truly flies when you’re doing something you love. It’s hard to believe, but it has already been five years since I joined Rank Math.

Looking back, it still feels like yesterday when I became part of this incredible team, one that not only builds powerful SEO tools but also nurtures an exceptional work culture.

How It All Began

Back in 2021, I joined Rank Math with excitement and a strong desire to contribute to open-source projects, especially WordPress. What started as a remote opportunity quickly turned into a meaningful and fulfilling journey.

From reviewing themes and writing documentation to helping theme authors and contributing to plugin review, each day brought new lessons and opportunities to grow.

While I was already involved in the WordPress ecosystem, Rank Math gave me the space to push further technically, professionally, and personally.

Over time, that growth has evolved from simply learning to taking more ownership, making decisions, and contributing with greater impact. I’ll always be grateful to the Rank Math family for that trust and opportunity.

Growing with WordPress

Alongside my journey at Rank Math, I’ve also continued to deepen my involvement in the WordPress ecosystem.

This year, I had the opportunity to join the Plugins Team, which has been a significant milestone for me. It allowed me to contribute more directly to maintaining quality and standards within the plugin directory.

Beyond that, I’ve been actively contributing across different areas, including:

  • Community initiatives
  • Core contributions
  • Supporting other WordPress teams

Being part of such a diverse and collaborative open-source ecosystem continues to be incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to keep expanding my contributions.

What Makes It Special

There are many reasons why being part of Rank Math continues to be so rewarding:

  • The Team – We’re a globally distributed team, but the connection we share makes it feel like a close-knit family. The team members are truly amazing, and the bond becomes even stronger when we meet in person—those moments are always special and filled with great memories.
  • The Work – Contributing to a product that helps millions of websites perform better in search is something that never loses its excitement.
  • Learning Culture – Every day is an opportunity to learn, improve, and share knowledge with each other.
  • Flexibility & Trust – Working remotely is made seamless through mutual trust, transparency, and strong communication.
  • User-First Approach – Everything we build revolves around one simple goal: making SEO accessible and effective for everyone.

5 Years of Growth

Over these five years, my journey has been about continuous growth not just in skills, but in perspective.

  • From learning the basics to understanding the bigger picture
  • From contributing tasks to owning outcomes
  • From asking questions to helping others find answers

This journey has shaped me in ways I couldn’t have imagined when I first started.

Thank You, Rank Math Family

In this year, I represent as Rank Math representative in various WordCamps like WordCamp Asia, Europe and other county and city level WordCamps.

I’m deeply thankful to everyone at Rank Math for making this such an inspiring place to work. A special thanks to the founders for their trust, guidance, and vision in building a product we’re all proud of.

It’s a rare feeling to wake up every day genuinely excited about work, and I never take that for granted.

Here’s to many more milestones, shared wins, and meaningful contributions ahead!
